On a controversial opinion post on a girls group on Facebook, I share that I believe if a woman can have a physical abortion than a man should be able to have a finical abortion. Clearly controversial for that audience. What about this audience? Each colour is a individual person.

Abandon her and force her hand. If she knows she can't get anything out of you, she's probably more likely to abort. Change your number, nuke all social media and never give your last name. I've sadly had to do this. I never found out if she was actually pregnant but I never saw any baby pictures AND she's engaged.

As soon as you bring up financial/paper abortions every pro-choicer busts out the pro-life arguments (responsibility to the child, it's a consequence of sex, should've had protection, etc). Man, can't we just have some consistency in this world? I don't care what side you're on, just apply your principles evenly.

I'm not reading all that lol but things are DEFINITELY unfair. A man has ZERO say in whether a baby is born or not, and if that baby is born, he's legally obligated to pay child support or he spends his time behind bars? Yeah, makes total fuckn sense

Also I love how nobody said a word about the fact that men can be raped at 14 and still have to pay child support. Objectively those two things are more of an ‘emotional burden’ than being able to choose between having and not having a baby.

And I don’t understand why birth control doesn’t go two ways in their heads. It’s not like they have no choice but to let the man do it without protection. If they were that bothered by the fact a man can choose whether or not he uses a condom, then why not just say no to the sex? If they still insist, well then it’s rape, at which point they can press all the charges they want on the guy idc.

It's controversial in my opinion because I don't know what the right solution is, all solutions seems wrong to some degree. But the current situation is even more wrong in my opinion. A paper abortion could open the door to dead beat dad's to run off on paying legitimate child support that they really should be paying.

Every time I bring up restricting abortions when the father wants the child everyone loses their mind. I do understand that but aren't there like 15 states in the US trying to restrict abortions across the board? Why wouldn't the father's opinion at least be discussed if we are going to discuss the states opinion?

In my opinion you reap what you sow. It takes two people to get into this situation, so it takes two to get out of it. Either of you could have avoided it so no one gets a get out of jail free card. You either both agree to abort or you are both responsible to raise the child (or see that it is taken care of). Or some kind of court order if the father can't be found and several other extreme cases.
