Crosspost "My wife is leaving." from /r/MensRights:

We’ve been married for 14 years. We have two beautiful children ages 10 & 12. My wife now feels like she needs to, “be free and happy.” She’s left me with planning the separation, that I do not want, while she steps deeper into denial…

She’s reading Women Who Run With Wolves and inspirational memes on Facebook. So far she’s seen support from all who know this news.

I can’t help but think, if I were to start reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and decide to break up my family to support my own desire to be ‘free and happy’ would it be considered brave and romantic? When the roles are reversed this is normally considered a husband having a mid-life crisis and wrecking a family.

Edit: Thank you for the support Reddit comrades. Your random comments are much appreciated. I just wanted to point out a contradiction I saw. I'm postured and will be just fine...
