I truly enjoy solitude. Why is getting a 'group of guy friends' a pre-requisite towards MRP manning at all? The only reason I could potentially see is so that your wife doesn't see you as a 'loner' and see's you as socially competent/gives you a reason to get out of the house.

But if that's the case for getting a 'group of guy friends' then technically you're just performing dread in order to appear more attractive to your wife in hopes that she'll [fill in the blank here]

I genuinely don't want 'guy friends' at all. Nor general friends...

What am I gonna do? Go to a bar and watch some moronic sport on TV whilst eating chips... Drink a beer... Have a conversation I'm not interested in? Doesn't seem fun for me.

I realize being social is a requirement for raising social status. But what if you just frankly don't care beyond making an income and staying in shape?

I'm admittedly boring and don't want to deal with some dumbass social gathering.
