I bit of it has to do with how men and wemon see the value of their tasking. When she stays home and does all the chores she; vacuumed the living room, vacuumed the bedroom, dusted the fans, washed dishes, ect. When he stays home and does the same work it's was just doing the chores. For alot of wemon each individual task that makes up the whole is a merit if it's own. For him the entirely completed task is a sing merit.

Edit for after thought: when she can't see all the individual task that make his day at work it seems like he only did one thing. Went to work. not the he had to call 20 clients unpack and deliver thr office mail ect. Which like I said to him it's all apart of one large tasking in this case going to work.

The SAHP should take care of thr house, whether they are male or female. If I ever have a wife that makes more than me, and she wants to be the primary breadwinner, I would be more than happy to be a stay at home dad, and take care of the house and kids. Especially if I could have a job that let me work from home.

I've been banned from NTA for quite a while for defending a position like OP's because his now stay at home wife wants to saddle him with additional work, while she stays at home. I would advocate the same way should the genders be reversed or for same sex couples.

My wife stays at home Monday-Thursday. I don't do a lot on those days, but on Sunday I make sure the house is back clean, all laundry and all dishes are done. She does the same on Thursday.

It's about respect for one another.

If you're a stay at home and aren't taking care of multiple little kids damn right you should be doing the housework?

When my wife was working full time and I was working 20ish a week I did 95% of the housework and the only reason she did the other 5% was because she found lightly organizing/picking up a good way to destress after work.

Once we both started working from home 40-50 a week it was roughly 50/50 but we ended up paying for a part time assistant to take care of the "day to day" so while we both still do house work I'm usually working on house projects and she will work on a long list of little nit picky things she doesn't want to pay for someone else to do.
