This doesn't make sense.... did her mother not ask where the baby was? Was she not involved? So she intentionally killed her baby and planned to hide evidence? This thing needs to be put down and have her uterus removed. Tbh no one is crying over you being ""sexually assaulted"" because I feel like this is a remorse tactic. There is adoption. Probation hah. Needs to be locked away. ""My FuTuRe."" This is a mistake that other people go to jail for. Unreal.

They need to get to the bottom of this. First thing is to DNA test the baby to see if they can get a match. If she was assaulted and didn't know until too late in the pregnancy to abort, she has my sympathy, but she needs evidence for that. She could always have put it up for adoption of course.

I can't say I am shocked. In Canada people have the benefit of the lesser sentence. I am surprised in some ways though. I would have expected there to be a mandatory minimum for murder. They were probably extra lenient because it was caused by a sexual assault.
