I’ve definitely heard similar things from other women redditors on this sub and another sub but didn’t really realise it was so bad until I fell down the reddit rabbit hole today, (I know, I know) and noticed this theme pretty blatantly on a lot of subs. It was most distressing when I was on subs where women were asking for sex advice and were having their concerns brushed aside and minimised by males when asking about sex acts they were apprehensive or unsure about but their male partner wanted to try. The most disturbing one was a post where a male convinced a woman into trying a sex act that had pleasure revolving around him and only him, he promised that it wouldn’t dominate their sex life and that it would just be a once in a while thing and in no surprise it ended up dominating their sex life. She had gone along with it for a long time but was tired of a one sided sex life and asked for advice on how to handle the situation and males (along with some libfems) tore her apart for ”setting a status quo” by going along with it for so long and then trying to cut back on it, even though he was the one who had broke the promise he made about not letting it dominate their sex life! They blatantly gaslit this poor woman into thinking that a mutually satisfying sex life was an unreasonable request and that she had needed to find a way to get pleasure out of the sex act that revolved around the man. It was disgusting but I guess not surprising on a male dominated website. Women really do need a larger male free space on the internet to discuss, debate and talk openly with other women about all aspects of life, not just feminist ones. It’s so frustrating that males have a tendency to dominate every area of the internet unless its about dresses, hair care, make up or the Kardashians and their even starting to encroach into those areas…….
