If pickme was ever a true accusation I'd say it was so for Roma. She has the shallowest understanding of men's issues but she's not a feminist so I can at least respect that. I don't join with her haters but they do have valid points.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

As MRM gains pace, it will attract an equivalent of 'male feminists' but with genders flipped.

Some female MRAs are truly great. In fact, most are. They understand (at least try to understand) the core issues and raise them appropriately.

But some are the gender-flipped version of 'male feminists'.. They are just there to virtue-signal and put their own gender down..

I have no issues with women who are against feminism.. But there is no need to put other women down.
The reason MRM fails to gain traction is because feminists put active hurdles and undermine the issue by saying 'feminism is for men too'. (While actually doing nothing to address the core issues- sometimes even worsening those issues).

Women will always be a mix of good and bad people. Our goal should be implement laws to punish bad actors.. And reward good women.

The present gynocentric society rewards bad women and punishes good (along with bad) men.

You cannot eliminate bad people. You can only implement laws to safeguard good people.
Putting entire gender down is the mistake feminism made.
We cannot let history repeat itself.

[–]karismakats 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

You have a good point. Lots of good points really.

I think I'm prone to criticizing women in general and supporting men as they get hurt by women. Maybe it's because I'm a woman, I don't know. I can relate to men much better than women. I'm autistic and have always thought more like a man than a woman, which isn't unusual for autistic women.

I've never joined anything about male rights before, but recent events have shown me just how bad things are getting. I do think that rewarding good behavior and punishing bad should be the goal of any justice system. It's the goal, on a smaller scale, of a parent to do exactly that. Punishing your kids for things they didn't do would make them not trust you, not feel like there's any fairness in the world, would make them feel bad about themselves, on and on. It's a horrible way to parent. And it should also be a horrible way to run a country. Punishing innocent people....there's alot of sayings about how bad that is.

Getting into this equal rights for men issue, I need to keep in mind to put my own feelings towards women aside when talking about the political parts a bit. Yes, we do need to stay focused on equal rights, not putting women down. However, I do wish I had a place I could vent about women. I've been so hurt by them and seen so many others hurt. Other women, men, children, pets etc...Is there a folder or something like that here? A safe place to just vent?

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

You can vent of course...

I used to post in MGTOW2, where some posts were about female nature and stuff..

Honestly, there are bad actors among both genders... Some are outright criminals, some are just unethical.. (PUA, dead beat fathers, women who take advantage of divorce laws, etc)...

There is no harm in calling out bad actors..

The 'male feminists' I described specifically refer to men who put down other men to virtue-signal..mostly to other women as providing an alternative to those 'supposed bad men'...

Honestly, if you want to prove that you are 'better man' then you should compare yourself to good men, and prove that you are better than them.
By comparing yourself to rapists and abusers, you aren't proving that you are any better.
99.99% men aren't rapists.. 'Male feminist' isn't any better than any average man.
The only reason they compare themselves to the worst of men, is because they know that they are better than only those men.

They cant be better than an average men, so they put the average men down.. Just to stand-out among potential women..

That's exactly some anti-feminist women do...
They talk about mens issues, just to show that they are better than the worst of women.
They aren't any better than an average woman, but by painting the average women as abuser, they are doing a disservice to all women. Who are normal, and would fight for their men too...

I'd say that most people are just average. 60-70% (M and F) are good.
But 20-30% can be selfish.

If the laws are biased, these selfish people would rake havoc on the society... Coz there is no way to punish them..

This is exactly what is happening..

The reason I don't want to marry or cohabitate is because of bad laws. Not because of bad women.

But hopefully the laws will change in the future...(probably not for me, but for next generation at least)

Human nature is human nature. It won't change. You can criticize it freely..
But demonizing entire gender wont help solve the issues.. In the long run, it will create even more issues..

Feminism has done exactly that over last 100+ years..
In an attempt to destroy the monster, we should be careful not to become another monster ourselves..

[–]karismakats 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Okay, I'm following you. So women and men that say they are better than the worst women or men aren't really saying much. And, ofcourse, demonizing one full gender is not helpful. I agree on both counts.

I am not sure I agree on your percentages, but that could just be because of my own personal experience. I have no proof one way or another and I have had alot of bad shit happen, so I have seen more of the darker sides of alot of people. However, I've also seen some people that are absolutely beautiful. I knew a lady in my complex that was older. She was the sweetest lady in the world. When she died I was heart broken. She had kind of adopted me as her kid.

When I've talked to women and they find out that I ran a support group for women that are raped for 3 years, they tend to open up and tell me about how they were raped. I've actually done research and talked to hundreds, literally, hundreds of women. 90% of women who I've talked to about sexual assault have told me of a time that they were. This issue doesn't just affect women, it affects men too. Men get raped, mostly by other men, but women have a foot in the door on that as well. I actually had a couple friends try to set me up to get raped. It almost worked. And why? Because back then I was a "good girl" and they didn't like that. I was a teen and religious.

Anyways, my point is that in my own experience, I've heard so many stories about rape that I believe it is very prevalent. But I also believe something else, and this is where things get controversial. Most women really don't like my next opinion. I believe that it's more of a natural instinct secondary to consensual sex. Not saying that rape is a good thing, but it is a part of our genetic makeup as far as I can tell. It's been going on thousands and thousands of years. I watched a documentary about cave men and they depicted rape as common back then. I don't know if that's true, but if archaeologists think that we've been raping each other since caveman days, then I think it's been around a while.

Alot of intelligent mammals will rape. I think it's actually more natural for men to rape because of the biological need to spread sperm. In species that the females are reluctant and the males want to have sex (likely an instinct to help spread their sperm), they will rape the women. Women instinctively resist because pregnancy can kill you, especially before modern medicine came around. During bottle neck times in history when our population was way down, I can see how rape could have actually saved our species, making sure it survived.

I know it's kinda a "out there" opinion, but there is a scientific basis for it and there are PHD's who have written about it and studied it. I should find that info again...Anyways. My views on rape are very different than most people and most women don't approve at all. But it's also been proven, through interviews mostly, that women can orgasm during a rape. I don't know about men because I haven't looked into that. I know less about male rape, but I know it's more devastating than female rape generally because of how society treats it.

So, women are having sex when they are being raped. It's something rape counselors will explain to women because they get so confused. Your body doesn't understand you're being raped so it responds, sometimes, as if it's having sex. Other women don't orgasm. But when I talked to a psychologist, he said that most women won't admit when a rape had good parts to it. Where they might have enjoyed it a little sometimes. it confuses the woman and since it's so painful, she just outright says it's horrible.

Sometimes it can even be more devastating to orgasm during a rape than not because of the conflict it creates in a person's mind. But that conflict is there mostly because of society. If Society looked at rape as something bad, but not as bad as it's looked at now, and rapists as people that need educating and help with rechanneling their urges, I don't think the confusion would be that confusing. Women also need to be taught the reality of rape. They think that's it's always horrible, always devastating and that that devastation lasts a lifetime. I disagree. I've had rapes that barely affected me. I've had rapes that shattered me. I've had rapes that turned me on in part.

I got raped when I was 2 and have been raped quite a few times since. It's complicated why, but I don't want to get into that unless you'd like me to explain, then I can. So, then I got into BDSM. There's a thing in BDSM called CNC. CNC stands for Consensual non consent. Lots of women all over BDSM are interested in this. A large number of them were raped. CNC, for women, allows them to relive the rape experience in a safe place with a partner they trust. Ideally this would allow them to heal from their experience. Course most women don't understand that that is why they want to do it and are often triggered by the experience and react badly because they don't know that it's the trigger that's upsetting them, not the experience they are having. This opens the door to feminists who want to demonize it.

In my own experience, because of my history, I can't have "normal" sex. Normal sex, vanilla sex, feels like rape to me. I get devastated by it. But BDSM sex is where I thrive. It's what I enjoy. I have had CNC as well and it really has helped me heal. So, I think rape is common, but I also think it's alot more complicated than people want to believe. It's got it's bad points, ofcourse, rape is destructive. But a similar act is something many women crave. I really think it comes down to our DNA. Rape is a part of us. I think if we channel it through something positive, like CNC, then things would be much better. There's a reason women like "bad boys". It's sexual.

Many women want to be dominated, but today's social climate has led women away from what they need and into their natural bad habits of punishing. They aren't getting what they need from men, so they push and pick and scream at them. But by doing that, men run the other way. Most women really need a man to dominate them, lead them, handle them, but society has told them they don't. So they punish men for what they are doing. It's doesn't make much sense, but I've seen women do this over and over. They don't know what they need let alone how to ask for it and then they punish men for not fulfilling them.

I hope this post doesn't offend too many people. I know I have gotten alot of shit for this opinion. I'm not one of those women you talked about saying I'm better than the worst women. I actually think I have some bad qualities that I've seen in every woman I've met and I struggle with those qualities. I have some intense views about rape that are unpopular, but I really understand the subject and most I've met don't really know much. It's a very taboo subject.

[–]karismakats 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]karismakats 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Oh and I did check out that MGTOW2 group. It says it's banned but you can still post? It's odd. I asked if I could post there. May need to go to another group if that one's banned.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

They banned it..
99% of posters there were like me..

There isn't any other group..

Anyways its was never a mens rights sub..
It was mainly a concept of living single without social pressures.

I pretty much lived that lifestyle since 2015...(even before it had a name)
I think with laws the way they are, more and more men will adopt a single, bachelor lifestyle....

Once the pressure of dating is off, life gets very simple.. You aren't living for validation.
You dont take any BS..

If people behave in toxic way, you cut them off.

By following these standards, I can tell you that 70-75% people in the world are decent. They wont bother you, if you aren't troubling them.

The rest 20-25% you are better-off without.

The only problem is law. You cant negotiate with the govt. They will take whatever they want, no questions asked.
Keep the govt out of your personal life, and you are good to go..

That means a lot of things like marriage, cohabitation and (possibly) kids need to be avoided.
Honestly, it doesn't affect your life negatively...

If I can live 35 yrs of my life as single, I can easily live another 35 yrs with no problems..
This philosophy applies to girls too. With the additional advantage of having a kid by IVF...

But laws aren't biased against women. Marriage is a secure institution for them.
But most can live without marriage too.

If laws remain biased, more and more people will find a way to protect themselves..
It's the responsibility of laws to protect the citizens. Not the responsibility of citizens to protect themselves from laws....

The moment the latter happens, the 'social-contract' is broken. Its just a matter of time before such society would become unstable..

[–]karismakats 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You sound alot like my boyfriend, except his opinion is that women can't live without men, but men can live without women. I think that's true. I think men are more independent thinking in general. I also think men keep women grounded. I think men love to have a good trustworthy woman around, it's just hard to find women like that.

I'm seeing other posts about just avoiding women, children, marriage, the whole bundle. It's so sad when it's become a thing that men just don't feel safe enough to get involved in something so natural as a family. My boyfriend had the same idea. He wasn't planning to get seriously involved with anyone, he just hadn't given up on dating. He was extremely careful and slow though. He still wanted to get laid atleast sometimes, lol Then he met me and he decided I was worth the risk. Course, I have no interest in getting married and can't have any more children, so that takes two very dangerous things off the table for him.

I think you're right. If laws remain the same, things are going to get worse. Women are digging their own grave then angry at men because they dug it. No personal responsibility at all. I'm definitely not perfect. I've never committed the atrocities that i've heard of happening now adays, but I was raised to believe women were entitled. I never was comfortable with the concept, and after I left home, it kind of drifted away. But it hasn't been till this year that I really saw the need for Men's rights. I didn't understand till I got back into dating and being around men. I was kind of absent from the dating scene for about 5 years.

Hopefully things will turn around. I want to help. I want to dedicate myself to this cause. I've experienced alot of pain from women. Far more from women than from men. So even though I'm not a man, I do understand some of the stuff men are going through. The rest, I'm learning more about and am just shocked over and over again at just how bad it is.

[–]karismakats 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I accidentally posted in MGTOW2ban. apparently it's a feminist group, lol. I posted a small vent about women in it. Now one posted a comment that was a bit nasty to me, so I responded with a kind and long explanation. I'm sure they will tear it apart, but I think if they do, it will make them look really bad.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They are the ones that got mgtow and mgtow2 banned..
I think they pressured the sponsors of reddit..

Anyways I dont care.
As I said, I just cut-off the toxic people in my life..

I only post on another alternate site now... I don't post on all mgtow spaces. Some are infested with angry incels.
That's why I never posted on mgtow1 subreddit too. Mgtow2 was cool.

But anyways.. I just related to the ideology coz I was practically living it without even being aware that it has a name.

I was active in MRM before that too..
A lot of my friends also wont get married. Some even have GFs. (IDK how they will manage in future)

I just tell the girls I date that I don't believe in the institution of marriage. You will be surprised to learn, that almost half the girls are cool with it.
I don't want to string anyone along.
Most are ok with it..

A lot of women nowadays aren't that 'crazy' about marriage as the media makes it out to be..
Most people struggle to find a compatible partner. This pressure of marriage, actually drives a lot of people into bad decisions for life, which they regret later.

But I dont think that's a MRA issue anyways..
Humanity will survive, even if marriage becomes obsolete.
What will destroy it is biased laws. Not destruction of marriage.

[–]karismakats 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. I was married 3 times before I was 25. Got divorced and haven't been married since. I had 2 guys propose to me, but I really didn't want to get married. I was going to marry the last guy because he was insistent, but then we broke up.

I think people tend to feel safer and more secure in a marriage. That's good, except that for a number of people, it leads to not doing as much. People start taking the other for granted. This leads to resentment. It used to be people stayed in one area more, they utilized friends and family to get stuff done. Now alot of that stuff is being laid upon your partners shoulders. I saw a ted talk that described this issue. They said that there is so much pressure put on couples now adays that it's no wonder they wind up breaking up. A single person actually has more resources in some ways because people see they don't have a partner and then, sometimes, that person can get more support from those around them. But when you have a partner, the automatic thing for people to say when you have an issue is "Well can't you (whoever) help you with that?"

This expectation is heavy and hurts relationships. There's so much against forming families and staying together now adays. It's really hard. You add in all this stuff with feminism and men being suppressed and it's just amazing that anyone makes it in a marriage or any relationship really.

As for the MGTOW2ban group. I've actually been nicely debating topics in that thread. I was surprised that most were not attacking. Only had a few comments and a down vote. But I am not really interested in staying there. I just felt I should answer anything posted to me and try to present things in a nice way. People don't see your point of view if you are not nice I think, and I'm a guest in there forum. I had one lady say that alot of women think that ,referring to my message, but noone will admit it there. Not sure I made a difference to them, but atleast I don't think I made things worse, so that's good :)

Didn't she support """true feminism"""?

[–]HUZNAIN 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

eeeeeewwwww not roma, a lot of MRAs hate her, and i am one of them.

[–]Potato-with-guns 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Shaym is good, he needs to upload more, I have tried to contact him a few times because my school was teaching feminist propaganda but he can’t be in any way (Probably receives a lot of hate)

[–]Waluigi_is_wiafu 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I think he burnt out hard on the political videos. On an unrelated note, his review channel (Possom Reviews) is pretty good.

It’s pretty nice but also the reason I learned about the amazing bulk

Don't know if that's good or bad

[–]Potato-with-guns -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The amazing bulk? Probably the worst movie ever made, and that isn’t an overstatement
