Here's my take. Of fucking course the admins are going to step in when things go batshit crazy and you have 90% of the mods peace out leaving one or two behind to deal with all this mess. Not to mention it's not like they would dedicate all of their time and energy to this subreddit, people have lives outside of Reddit so if something is going down and a admin had to step in then so be it. As for appointing new mods what sort of procedure even gets done? Who made the final call and how are we supposed to know that their not a troll in disguise? Are we supposed to just trust in them? Trust isn't something that we can give willingly. Honestly I'd throw my hat into the ring and be a mod but there's two reasons for that. One is i have my own personal life and Reddit is just a means of escaping not something I'd want to dedicate a good portion of my time modding. Two is that while I did mod on a few discord servers and one of those old custom forum websites it's just not something I want to get back into. I honestly feel it'd be better if we just start over, redo the rules, have better requirements for joining and make sure that the mods not only do their job but stand for what this sub was meant to be about in the first place. No bringing in their own personal beliefs or feelings into the mix keep that shit out.

I did initially select option 4, then saw the delete log and changed to option 1. He is getting rid of the troll accounts and postings, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!
