I feel like I’m a serial monogamous person and these days monogamy is dead in a long term context. Most people now seem to honestly be in EMTs (ethical non monogamy) or divorce. Is this just where the generation is headed and should we just embrace it rather than trying to fight it?

I feel these “pill” spaces make it out to be a bad thing that divorces happen or that open relationships exist but truthfully this is how I feel relationships are these days. I might be speaking too soon though because it’s been a minute since I’ve really liked a person and I’ve never been married, but the more I see it the more I feel it’s impossible to be with one person forever. I feel like serial monogamy or else EMTs are more appropriate for this generation.
