I do believe platonic friendships between men and women can exist. However, I think that if the women is attractive, MOST friendships nowadays are not platonic and that one end is naive to this.

“Oh he’s just a brother to me” - no, to YOU he’s like like a brother but give him an ounce of opportunity and see what happens. If a woman was brave enough to lose a “friend” in the pursuit of a true platonic friendship, I’d suggest a test where you push as hard as you can to that person for sex (where it doesn’t risk anything to him) and see if he folds. At least after it, you’d know whether you have a real friendship or not. I think a test is necessary sometime during the friendship.

For those that aren’t naive to this and choose to continue these kinds of “friendships”, I’m genuinely curious, why? Is it a little weird for u?
