This is a problem for men, for whom femininity is the primary sex characteristic of attraction. Social media, reality TV and smart phones have dumbed down mainstream society in general over the last 15 years. Combined with the increasingly blurred lines of gender roles/identity you are now seeing an entire generation of girls acting like frat boys. Women are feeling more empowered than ever, and the cocky masculine attitude a lot of them possess is really off putting to men who are drawn to traditional femininity. Don’t bother telling me how “it’s 2022 no one cares what men think” or “we aren’t trying to impress men” when it’s clear as day how much women thrive on the attention and validation of men. Unfortunately, for every normal guy there are hoards of desperate souls eating up and encouraging this behavior, no matter how obnoxious they act.

Hip-Hop has been part of mainstream culture in the west for several decades now, but never before have we seen AAVE permeating the mainstream like it is now. I love hiphop, but no one wants to hear some suburban white chick saying the soft R N word or “bruh” every other word. Additionally, seeing chicks rapping and dancing to trashy vulgar songs on TikTok is a huge turn off.

You can call me old or out of touch, I’m neither. Most dudes feel the same way. Men are inherently drawn to feminine characteristics and behavior, just as women are masculinity. Always have and always will be, but pop culture has warped people’s behavior so much that it’s becoming more and more difficult to find women who act like women.
