It seems to me, you have more of a low self-esteem issue than anything else. Sometimes it's not the people around you, it's you.

Btw, Japanese look down upon Koreans, Chinese don't really like Koreans. If you have trouble hooking up with Korean girls (your own ethnic group), change your game, groom yourself, and have some fucking confidence.

I have a hard time with Korean women too. They are as you describe and they don't speak English. They're among the hottest Asian women though.

Chinese guy here. Even among my other Asian friends, Koreans have a very bad reputation. We've met very few Koreans that weren't somehow neurotic or had some serious issues. The more I learn about South Korea, the more I understand why a lot of South Koreans can be so fucked up in the head, although it's mostly not their fault.

As for going to places like Japan or China, I have to tell you that the women there are pretty much like South Korean women, although to a lesser extent. If you're up for a little adventure, you should actually try SE Asia. There's actually a pretty significant Chinese and Korean community in countries like the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand. A lot of the local women also look pretty chinese/korean and make good LTR material. Good luck.

I was just in South Korea for this past New Years traveling through, and I got absolutely no where with the girls there, except with other foreigners traveling through. It honestly felt like the Korean girls didn't want to been seen with us, and the ones who did were typically older.

I will say one of my favorite cities in Asia so far is Taipei, Taiwan. Very westernized, a lot of girls speak English and love foreigners. Everyone is super friendly and cost of living is cheap. The weekdays there though seem to be very dead at night.

I really don't know. I met an expat once who spent a while in Korea. I asked him about why he left and he vaguely referenced a girlfriend and said in a tone and expression of utmost seriousness, like his life depended on it, that he is never going back. Very mysterious.

Lived in SK for 5 Years. I couldn't date any Korean girls. They were absolutely the worst entitled cretins on the most part. Unintelligent, uninteresting, boring, spoiled, and super jealous. Had no issues with white women there, to bad 90% were bitter jaded fat hags.

Japan is not bad. I have both Korean and Chinese friend who work there and didn't have trouble finding romantic relationships there. It depends a lot on your attitude (and sometimes tolerance). Avoid seeming too easily offended or political, obviously, because most of them are nationalistic to a degree.

Chinese are fine with Koreans for the most part. Koreans are an officially recognized ethnic minority there and are interestingly the most stereotypically nationalist of the minorities alongside Manchus. Sadly, a lot of Korean Chinese express that they are discriminated more in South Korea than they are in China. Chinese in general are far more bigoted about class than ethnicity.

In both cases, what matters most about ethnicity is language. If you're fluent, that's well over half the battle.

Kpop (and the rest of the Hallyu influence) matters more in cosmopolitan areas. Once you go more rural or inland and traditional, people will care less and even sometimes be turned off by it. Eg young folk in Shanghai (or even other eastern cities like Taipei or Tokyo) mostly love Korean culture (dramas, music, idols, brands). As you go west/inland to cities like Chengdu, younger folk will either be apathetic or even hostile to it. I've been scolded by younger folk around my age there for humming kpop/jpop tunes absentmindedly.

Edit: btw, I love Korea, and wouldn't say it's the worst country, but the competition is rough... So I can somewhat understand your position. They are not as easily impressed, and I probably just haven't matched up or overcame the barrier. A Korean American friend of mine has absolutely no problems at all there, but that may have to do with the fact that he is both attractive physically and has a high ranking role in a Korean flagship company. When you overcome that barrier like him, your options are pretty good.

koreans are the prettiest asians, and they do not have a foreigner or white god complex. that is all. most of the guys are jerks as well.
