if men have to commit to women to get "wifey" behavior from women (cooking/cleaning nurturing), do women have to earn husband behavior? (finically providing, protection)

countless women say its a mistake that a woman does anything considered wifey behavior until they get commitment from the men they are dating,

should men not provide any finical support, not pay for anything and not physically protect their women until men get commitment or sex from their women?
