My entire life, I've heard about HPV and its effect on women, and that men are unaffected by it, although able to carry and transmit it. So, basically, men are a "mosquito" for HPV, and women its victims.

So I found out that is both true and bullshit. It's true in the sense of vaginal infections (duh). But it's bullshit when it comes to cancer.

Apparently 3% of all cancers in women are caused by HPV. And 2% of all cancers in men are caused by HPV.

What? That information was simply omitted from me in all sex education classes and other sources of information (news, blog articles, videos).

Why was that omitted and I what other health risks to men are simply ignored or never published?? I'm seriously concerned for my health and I am scared of this lack of information.
