Had a hospitality manager like this once. She only ever ordered male employees to empty the rubbish bins and if she ever saw a female employee doing it, she'd get the first man she saw to take over for her

It’s more because it’s a smelly / disgusting job than about weight. This is one of many dangerous / heavy and smelly domestic chores left to men which women don’t mention when they moan about domestic chores they have to do

I used to always be the one taking out the trash and cleaning the rubbish bins (they would get very smelly) when I was working in cafés. It's not a hard job and I hated it when the bins would overflow, because no one else wanted to take out the trash when I have the day off. Ffs.

I worked in a female environment so, they always picked on the most passive woman (me) to do the dirty work. I don't mind doing it, but it would've been nice if someone else could take over every now and then.

Much of my working experience growing up from teens to late twenties was spent listening to my female coworkers talk about how awesome they are and how they're boss bitches and they don't need any help, least of all a man's help.

On and on they'd go to anyone who would listen.

Then they'd find a male coworker to lift a 20lbs box for them because "I'm a girl"

They've always just wanted the convenience.

when I worked at restaurants in the past some of the trash containers could become extremely heavy by the end of the night and I don't think some female workers would be physically capable of throwing them up and over and into the dumpsters outside but past that I'm with you. I'd like to see more women hanging off of the backs of garbage trucks and doing all of the other jobs that, almost exclusively, men do because it's too "hard" for thousands of years women were content to let the men go out and bring home the saber tooth tiger for dinner with no complaints until men invented air conditioner then suddenly they wanted to join the workforce. but just the jobs that have air conditioner lol

Yeah, stuff like that happens in my workplace too. Women excusing themselves from doing the same amount of work by saying "Oh, but I'm a woman; I'm not strong enough." Pulling pallets down the hallway (despite the pallet jacks being good enough that pulling a pallet of water would be like pulling a wagon). Using the electric pallet jacks (you drove a car here, and you can't operate an electric pallet jack because having a vagina somehow stops you?). Stacking pallets on top of each other (okay, maybe you're not strong enough but we do have enough people on the floor for team lifts).

But they still wanna be paid the same amount that a man makes for the same job.

This was something I never really minded. I am working to be a weight lifter anyway.
