Both the author of that article and most card carrying MRAs are unfailingly slippery, when they toss out words like "feminist governance". Exactly what the hell are they talking about? A government where feminists lobbies exercise influence beyond their station, and diminish human freedom? We definitely live in a nation where not just feminist lobbies, but a veritable shitload of special interest groups wield all sorts of of unhealthy influence. That's a much more expansive problem than "feminist governance" though

Are MRAs referring to one of their many Apocalyptic fever dreams, in which every member of both the Republican and Democratic parties ceases to be a free thinking human being, and instead become zombies that are capable of doing nothing more than obeying the commands of Lindy West and jess Valenti? If that's what they envision when they speak of "feminist governance" and a "coming Holocaust".... Well, spectacular fantasies must be supported by voluminous evidence, if they're to be taken seriously

i've heard the folks over at AVFM and HBR's rationale for this sort of alarmism: "We've got to exaggerate, to get people's attention." This sort of thinking is remarkably similar to the antics environmentalists have been engaging in since the late 60s-early 70s: "If we don't run around shouting We're in the middle of a mass extinction, no one will get motivated enough to support our cause!!!" Whether or not speaking of "anti-male persecution" is especially helpful or honest is highly questionable, and becomes more so with each passing day. Last anyone checked, those men who were expelled from university after having run-ins with Title IX star chambers all had immediate families who suffered right alongside them; families made up of men AND women alike. Denying secondary education to anyone, regardless of gender, deprives that person of access to upward mobility and diminishes the competitiveness of our workforce, in an era where we've got unprecedented rivalry from emerging markets

When someone(be it a man or a woman)unfairly loses custody of their kids in the aftermath of a divorce, their families suffer right alongside them. Our nation suffers, when we rob children of either their fathers OR their mothers, and in the process leave lots of folks more susceptible to psychic trauma. As long as we keep pretending that so-called men's problems exist separately from the maladies which trouble America, our advocacy will continue to remain stagnant
