I’ll make this short and simple.

LTR of 4 years. Relationship is all around great. I’m honestly quite happy overall. I’ve had some learning/growth moments in the past that I quickly learned from that have made me a better man and partner.
I have my own place, two cars, and I live on my own.
Gf lives with her family - but she is a very hardworking girl. She pulls her weight and she’s smart. She has great interests. I’m very proud of her. We are both young. I’m 26, she is 22.
We pretty evenly split on who’s place we go to. She comes over a bit more frequently, since we get more privacy here. She comes over here plenty, and I’m happy to go over to hers and spend time with her and her family, who I have a great relationship with.
Here’s the problem - for such a well rounded girl, it’s very concerning.
Just about every time I try to leave her place to come back home, she throws a fit. She will yell, complain, whine, and shout when I tell her it’s time for me to head out.
I have demanding work, and I still make sure that I make time to see her. It’s never a problem when she comes to my place. I feel that it’s not very fair for her to have a tantrum every time I leave her place, even if I spent the weekend or 3 days with her.
The words she uses are:
“You don’t spend enough time with me” “You’re always eager to leave” “You should want to stay with me”
Even if I’ve spent multiple days and stretched myself out to get work done around her, she still does this.
I’ve sat her down and explained this to her. She straight up disagrees with me that it’s wrong for her to freak out when I leave.
It’s very strange behavior from her.
It’s worth noting that she had parental issues growing up, up to and including abandonment issues most likely (mom left).
Any advice guys? It feels surreal because after 4 years the relationship and connection is strong. This is my only complaint. I’m very happy otherwise.
