There aren't any rules that preclude self promotion
I had ambivalent feelings towards making videos about him for the reason you stated, but I ultimately decided to go ahead and do it anyway. A lot of what has motivated me to make videos about red pill is to teach young amenable men that a lot of the ideology and logic they use is fallacious and egregiously bad. Let's face it, the guy has already amassed and garnered an astronomical amount of attention online. Sitting quiet and doing nothing because " it will give him more attention" is not the solution. It's important, in my opinion, to address what he says and expose it for what it is. If he didn't have the meteoritic rise that has had and not that much people knew about him then I probably wouldn't bother making videos about him, but like I said nearly everyone that knows what red pill is knows about him and a much wider audience already knows who he is. Sitting and doing nothing in hopes that he garner more attention is not the answer he already has a gigantic spotlight on him.

Your argument is predicated upon a logical fallacy (correlation doesn't imply causation). You are implicitly stating that people who are not famous don't have videos made about them. You are fallaciously assuming I am making a video about him "Because it's a trend". NO. I am making a video about him and will make more videos about red pill figureheads as an attempt to help young men to realize that red pill is a an egregiously bad philosophy. You claim: "No one is talking about me....". Why would anyone have a reason to talk about you? I don't understand your argument.

Shedding a light on how bad red pill is doesn't help men? Many very young amenable men adhere to red pill philosophy which is very damaging. What motivated me to start my youtube channel is to combat red pill. How does that not help men?

Your argument is a pure assumption and I have already explained why I am making my videos. If I made a video about how horrible Vladmir Putin is, would you also be saying that " I am just following a trend"?

As I already stated earlier, Andrew Tate has already amassed a lot of attention to himself. Me making a few videos about him isn't going to increase his following.

Never take hyperbole at face value.

If you really wanna make videos showcasing how it's egregiously bad, then make videos on the general topic itself, not one guy who's trending.

Again, you're not "shedding light" on RP, you're shedding light on him, since that's your focus in the video.

Yes, I would, depending on what kind of video you made. Videos are made on trending topics, why are you denying that simple fact? I didn't state anything wrong.

You're still mentioning the guy's name, instead of indirectly referring to him. Helping his SEO more and more.

Doing that will indeed increase his following, because it will not let his name die. Because if everyone thinks like you, then undoubtedly his name will be put out there.

Everyone who makes a video on him thinks "Oh he's already famous, it's not gonna make a difference if I make one on him too", and then adds his name to the SEO algorithm. That's how SEO works, maybe educate yourself on that.

He uses and RELIES on people like you to talk about him, it doesn't matter to him if it's negative or positive. It benefits him. Being mentioned benefits him.

This is a poor argument. Making a video on Red pill and making a video about a red pill figure head are not two mutually exclusive things. Andrew Tate is the embodiment of red pill philosophy, so making a video about him and addressing his egregious world views is addressing red pill.

This is a strawman fallacy. I never claimed the purpose of this sub was self promotion. I simply asked you to point me to the written rules about self promotion on this sub because it seemed like you made things up and you weren't able to point me to any rules

This is an over simplification. Once again, I didn't make videos about him just for the sake of "following a trend". I made a video about him because I am sick of young men adhering to his ideology and I want to combat that considering that he has reached a large audience of young men (not just him I am planning on making videos about Fresh and Fit, Rollo Tomasi etc).

Dude the guy has been deplatormed by facebook, instagram, Tik Tok, and youtube ( alot of the small youtube channels that promote him have been purged. )

Ignoring him and hoping that his online presence will go down all of a sudden doesn't change the fact that young men have been manipulated by him. So even if he disappears from the Internet and people forget about him, his message and ideology will still be embedded in the minds of many amenable and impressionable young men. Many young men have placed him on a pedestal in their minds, so If I only address red pill without addressing "the messiah" then it is not going to be as effective. It's important that you address the figure heads and not just the philosophy because people may not make the connection between the philosophy and the person itself.

This once again is an over simplification. You are making it seem as though everyone after hearing about him (whether its from my videos or somewhere else) is going to go to his website and purchase his online set of courses.

ANDREW TATE DOES NOT HAVE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL. His TIK TOK got banned.

He already has amassed a lot of attention. Telling a few people on reddit not to mention his name is not going to do anything. I would much rather address the elephant in the room instead of being passive and not say anything. You keep mentioning SEO SEO SEO over and over again. Once again: the already has a huge following. Whatever you choose to do as an an individual is not going to curtail people's cognizance of him and it's not going to change the past.
