There have been concerns that police showed little care about taking the deaths of female prostitutes seriously. Prostitutes are seen as less moral, hence less valued humans, believed to be a justification.

Questions about one's moral and social status, whether male or female, can lead to less concern about one's welfare. I posted this as a reminder that while many may be aware of the history of less motivation to find killers of female prostitutes, the issue also affects poor men. Like all things, men and women can both be vulnerable in different and overlapping ways. Men and women of both genders, deserve the same dignity irrespective of social status.
