It comes from one of the fundamental concepts of second wave feminism, make the personal political..

What that means is to take a personal experience and extrapolate that to the whole of society, by doing that you can view the world through a gendered lense and apply that to any situation.

What these feminists were, was wealthy middle class white women who often had academic fathers who were very remote and aloof, so they took the stand that all father's were distant and aloof.

In that regard they took the personal and made it political, applied that same behaviour to all father's and all men.

Of course it's all an absolute fallacy and failure of logic but feminists are nothing if absent of any logic.

Bro school is absolute crap. I remember at my school the English teacher had us come up with derogatory terms for men but then wouldn't allow us to do it for women. I called him out for being sexist and the next thing i know im talking to the principle and that teacher getting chewed out for "disrupting class". Bunch of b.s..

Because she was taught by Calpurnia... and the dismissal of Calpurnia as someone who would've been able to teach Scout is both racist and sexist
