Hello TRP,
19 year old checking in. I swallowed the pill last summer and since then it's been a year of slow, but steady progress.
Going to the gym is my favorite part of the day and it's probably the thing that has given me the most confidence recently while I overcome my demons. Now that I've fractured my right thumb, I can't write, drive, go to the gym, play my instrument, etc for a minimum of 4 weeks. The majority of my self-improvement activities have come to a standstill. I'm worried that my happiness and confidence is tied to me doing these things and achieving my goals. If I can't do any of them, then how do I prevent my happiness and confidence from regressing? Should I look for other things to focus on and help me get through this month?
I could also do with some brotherly support or a kick up the pants. This whole thing's got me beat, and some of my 'friends' are only too happy that I can't improve myself or do anything for a month.
I'd love to type more but typing with my left hand is a pain in the ass.
