I’ve done almost 300 cold-approaches over the last year and a half, with only 6 first dates to show for the effort. I’m 18, go to a big college, with a small social circle. I’m still a virgin. In shape, but ugly. The question: should I keep doing cold approaches?

The obvious reason to do them is the improved confidence and strengthened game. However, after doing so many, I wonder if I’ve reached a flatline. Is there more for me to gain from this?

The reasons against it a that I go to a very liberal school, and a reputation could spread around and take me out of the game for good. Plus, a lot of the girls whose numbers I get aren’t interested at all and waste my time.

To put that into perspective, the only time I got a kiss was from a girl I’d met and hung out with at at party, and the second closest I came was from someone who knew my SMV from a class. All of the flat out cold approaches failed.

The question: Should I give up cold approaches for now, and just focus on my personal mission, or should I double down? Should I narrow my approaches to down to girls at parties or those in friend circle? I tried online dating BTW and failed. Is it delusional to assume that I’ll meet girls and attract them if I just focus on me and my interests? If I take myself out of the game, will whatever skills I have whither away, or come back stronger?

I’m feeling like a change. Maybe this is it.

Opinions? Fire away.
