Imo the only issue with this topic is when someone is forced to use them against their will, you do what you whatever you prefer.

It’s not wrong per se. However, using sites like LinkedIn, I would steer away from announcing/defining them. If your name is Jessica (example), it is implied you are a woman. You don’t need to take extra steps to define it. Keep your political beliefs as neutral as possible on items regarding your professional portfolio.
