I work at a bowling alley where once or twice a week I work as a mechanic behind the lanes. Generally I have to go in pretty early, so I usually go to the gym and bring two pairs of clothes with me, my work clothes and my after work clothes. I sweat a lot back there and like to get changed before I punch out and head home. Anyways Closing time approaches, one group of people are left bowling. I am already in my post work clothing walking to the back office to get ready to punch out. One of the men must have noticed I was wearing a Nike tanktop. "Hey buddy, what do you have a gym back there or something?". Confused, and frankly not wanting to deal with anyones bullshit after my nine hour shift I looked him in the eyes and said "Yeah, we have a whole complex back there." and continued walking towards the office listening to my music. Apparently that wasn't enough for him though. He said something else afterwards, and then proceeded to egg on the rest of the group to make fun of my tank top and laugh. I... didn't care. I just wanted to be able to continue listening to my music and shooting shit with my coworkers without some dumb ass trying to get my attention. I guess my question is, what the hell was the point of it and did I handle it correctly?
