My STBXW keeps dragging things on and on and on. Now it’s looking like at least 3 day trial and family court cannot hear that until summer next year. I’m over 2.5 years in and have the option to try case in civil court (only thing outstanding is regarding spousal support/length).

It will be heard sooner in likely a few weeks out from scheduling, but potential for judge to not be well versed in family law. I didn’t know this was an option until my attorney informed me.

Anyone have experience here and anything I should be considering pro or con if I civil court vs family?
