The false accuser here was sentenced to 3 years for purgery, and served 2 years. The accused was a prison guard and during his time defending the matter spent months in jail where he experienced harrassment and assaults. Together with the $680k spent by his family to defend his case, the accused man was never compensated for the abuses he sufffered from the misandrist Australian legal system that failed minimum standards of due process, and the ruining of his life.

The Australian media have buried this story, and there never been any followup of the impact of this injustice.

If the victim got 5 years and was falsely accused. The accuser should instead do more than 5 years as a punishment and lesson on how it feels for the wrongly accused to have their life ruined by such toxicity. This should be standard people, STANDARD.

If the accused is right fully accused then yes they should still have the full sentence. But if the accusations are false then it shouldn't be just a slap on the wrist their life has to have some form of lesson to understand what happens to people who are wrongfully accused. I.E being brandished as a X, Y, Z. And having your life 10x harder than it was due to a criminal record of false accusations.
