Hi everyone, I’m an undergraduate studying writing & rhetoric and psychology. Over the last year, I've dedicated almost all of my undergrad research to internet studies, including analyses of Pepe the Frog, trolling practices, etc. In the process of doing so, I found this subreddit and am fascinated by the work that it does for this group of people. One of my upcoming projects is an interview about writing.

I think the writing that you all are doing on this subreddit is interesting and doing important work for not only the OP but also other members of the community. I would love to talk to one of you guys about this community, specifically the communication practices that you see yourself and other users practicing (essays, sharing resources, discussions in comments, etc.). I want this to be a chance for both of us to highlight the good that this community is doing and really dig into the benefits of having this environment to write and communicate in.

The interview would be brief (no more than an hour), but it would be recorded. I would probably just record audio, so that your face and name would not be on the record. It would also be kept completely anonymous. This is just for a class project, so I won't be publishing it or anything—the only people who may end up reading the transcript are myself, my professor, and my classmates. My deadline is two weeks away, so we can work around your schedule.

Again, this is meant purely as a way for me to learn about this community and the writing within and to highlight the good that I think it is doing. It will by no means be used to shame you all for your connection to the red pill. If anything it's meant to highlight and honor your dedication to helping yourself and others. I would be thrilled to have the chance to learn more from you all, but I also completely understand that this is a lot to ask. Let me know if you’re interested and we can work on getting it scheduled. I’m thinking we could do something like Discord to help protect your identity even more, but whatever you’re most comfortable with.
