PART 3 OF 3

SOME KEY FINDINGS OF NETWORK ANALYSIS - OVERALL LEADERS AND COMMANDERS IDENTIFIED

These are abbreviated due to the publishing deadline of Remembrance, with other interesting details having surfaced in the course of the investigation. Therefor at this point they can only be linked names, rather than listing the connections, though several of the connections are within this document. These are among the most significant details identified in this process. I have made network diagrams on paper including the nature of each association, so here will just list some of the core figures and with whom they are linked. In future there may be opportunity to do a longform list or network diagram on a computer. Hopefully though, for the time being, the names when searched together online can find some of these connections.

CONCLUSION

What I have found in this and other documents is that perhaps the world's worst years for a defined group of people was not the result of complacency, but intent. My goal here, along with getting justice for those that we claim to honour every year in November, is to demonstrate the horrifying nature of Conscription, to add my small part to the likelihood that people will never again accept being forced into the military. It is astonishing to me that after the greatest tragedies in global history, the First and the Second World Wars being two of the worst, the people still allow themselves and their loved ones to be conscripted by their governments. I hope here that I have illustrated precisely what conscription can do. What conscription can be used for, what it has been used for, and what it can be used for in future. In any case the large risks of unimaginable suffering that it makes possible.

I conclude that this investigation makes a case for the possibility that the mindblowing number of unneccessary deaths and casualties in this conflict may not have been an accident. In effect there is an argument that the First World War was not so much a war as it was a mass genocide. The following summarised facts found from the above research form the basis of this conclusion:

When identifying commanding officers by number of casualties in their own ranks, there is a group that stands out, with repeated involvement in mass-casualty battles. Furthermore, these commanders generally acheived an office at or near the top of the military command structure, rather than being punished.

On the question of an ideological or personal basis for a motive, we have found evidence of both. Several in this group of leaders have been found to have common ground, both demographically and ideologically. We have seen that at least two of the three chiefs of the OHL (the Supreme Army Command) during the War were Social Darwinists; Moltke the Younger and Erich von Falkenhayn. Many in the General Staff were also. Other confirmed powerful Social Darwinists were von Bulow, Bismarck, and Ludendorff. Wilhelm II may also have been one, though confirmation of that is something that the reader can contribute with finding out. Earlier in the presentation of results we saw the names of some of the Junkers - Waldersee, Moltke, Bismarck, Hindenburg, Hindenburgs son Oskar, Schlieffen, Linsingen, Tirpitz, Falkenhayn, Mackenzen, Bernhardt von Bülow, Schleicher, and Bethmann-Holweg. We found that, in the casualty-battle analysis in which we identified the seven worst butchers of men in the War, their names were Ludendorff, CP Wilhelm, Gallwitz, Falkenhayn, CP Rupprecht, CP Albrecht, and Linsingen. Despite the number of casualties accross the War and involving many commanders, this is quite an exclusive group. With the exception of Knobelsdorff, the only others identified to that level of extent with this method were Mackenzen, Below, Eben and Einem. In the first seven, Falkenhayn and Linsingen, and in the next group, Mackenzen, are each also within the same Junkers elite. Hindenburg had overall power for most of these battles. Furthermore, the chief commanders of the German military apart from Falkenhayn are almost all within the same Junkers group: Waldersee, Moltke, Bismarck, Hindenburg, Schlieffen and von Bülow. Others were also powerful - in fact Bethmann-Holweg was the Chancellor of the German Empire from 1909 to 1917. Schleicher, Tirpitz and Oskar Hindenburg were also important to the German plan - and Tirpitz, working with Wilhelm II, met with the British rulers. That hasnt been detailed above, but we have seen the political attitudes of the Junkers, and this fits well with the wish to crush the lower classes and any threat of uprising. The House of Hohenzollern, the list of members and honourees of which makes interesting reading, is also a nobility- and dynastic- factor that unites those with significant involvement in the decisions of the policy of the Army and its related aristocracies.

On a personal basis, we have also found common experience of tragic loss through assassinations, carried out by those in the same threatening demographic that were forced to war and to their deaths, injury and trauma. This common, perhaps shared, experience traverses the 'sides' in the War, giving mutual motive of revenge, as well as mutual impetus out of fear, to the Russian, the German and the British rulers.

We have also seen that some of them, from all of the main warring countries, were actually in a military alliance not long before the War, and we have seen that this was against the peasant class - as indeed can we see what they did to those people. As, again, have we with other atrocities from the same rulers. It would not be extreme to propose that these same rulers would be capable of doing so again, albeit on a much larger level this time. We learn that they had the environment, and the belief system to have motive. With conscription, they had the means. With a blurry story originating from the latest assassination, and with the Schlieffen Plan and the doomed policy of protectorates, they had the opportunity.

Moreover, none of the German commanders faced significant - if any - punnishment from the opposing side after the War. Once the worst butchers of men were identified, their histories were studied and no imprisonment, execution or even court procedure was enforced by the leaders of the Triple Entente. After the War most of the commanders and royals lived freely and died of natural causes. A few of them and their sons even had notable political careers (even assisting in the progress of Nazism). This appears to be the same for the British mass-killers, the French and a smaller number of the Russians. Yet the German leadership 'lost' the War, and still no punnishment was incurred. Without the explanation of a cooperative agenda, this seems very peculiar.

Turning to the battle data: one observation of the World War, and of Ludendorff initially, was that casualty numbers do not drastically decrease in battles commanded by these officers. To be accurate, the number of casualties from battle to battle highlighted in which these worst killers were leaders, broadly decrease toward the end of the war. However, there is an increase from 1914 to 1916, the worst year for casualties. This suggests no effort by the generals to reduce casualties, at least in the first half of the war. Casualty numbers are allowed to increase with no improvement or use of tactics since the first mass-casualty battles. Moreover the casualties of battles commanded by Ludendorff, who during the war became the most powerful man in Germany, showed an overall increase through the war. Over two years, the casualties in battles with command involvement by Crown Prince Wilhelm and by Falkenhayn increase for over two years, and for around two years for Crown Prince Rupprecht - whos later casualty numbers remain extremely high - and they increase for just under two years for von Linsingen and for Crown Prince Albrecht von Wurttemburg. The major battles involving Gallwitz, two of the worst battles in human history symultaneously, show similar numbers to eachother, with a slight decrease.

Regarding the possibility that the German leadership could have been acting in cooperation with its apparent enemy leaders, there is evidence that this was in fact a possibility, as the network lists from my diagrams show. And despite my efforts (and more in my notes), these details of connections are by no means comprehensive. They do however show that, if the obstacle to my hypothesis were that the British, the Russians and the Germans were on opposing sides, then that need not in fact be an obbstacle. We have seen that Anglo-German relations, at the least, were better before the War than people assume. We have also seen that the counterparts in command of these three countries, if not of France and Austria-Hungary, were in fact their very families and associates. Which also raises questions as to how other family members would not have mediated and quelled such hypothetically serious conflict between these family members.

CONCLUSION - AUTHORS NOTE

There is a sense of great responsibility in researching and analysing on a subject of such magnitude, when the status quo has just dismissed the whole thing as an accident. I hope here to demonstrate the sense of responsibility, and the work to invoke it, that we should all be capable of. It is my hope that this and other important events concerning our freedom and safety from rulers can be addressed by many more people in future. It should be because its the right thing to do that we stand up for others. Yet all of us also have a personal stake in defeating conscription. It is the responsibility of all to find ways to have conscription not only abolished, but its mechanisms for return dismantled. For the respect of the victims of the First World War, and the Second World War, and all events in which conscripts have suffered, I write this. Most of all though, to play my part in asserting the legacy of this potential mass genocide of common-class men, the First World War, that, if not the War to End All Wars, that it may one day become the Conscription to End All Conscriptions.

Thank you for your time.
