If I remember right the women that wrote this eventually went to jail for the murder of her husband. Could be a different book but i doubt it

She argued the book shouldn’t be used against her at court but I believe it was. Shes spending life in jail right now.

The conviction gap is an actual scandal. The number of women who beat murder charges is just staggering. I have a bit of a horse in this race, unfortunately.

Without giving away too much information that might dox me, one sunny afternoon, a neighbor went full John Blaze and went on a shooting spree inside his house. His wife said he just randomly started popping off rounds.

Strangely tho, the shots never once went out a window or an open door or anything else. The bullets all went inside the house. Even more curiously, the bullets never hit the wife, the furniture or anything else even semi-valuable. The gunfire all went either into the floor or into an empty section of wall. Very strange considering how highly decorated the house is. It's what you might call a target-rich environment. But somehow, the only damage was the kind that can be easily covered over.

The wife went running and screaming out the door, the police were dutifully summoned and a sniper team was even dispatched. But all for nothing. The cops found the husband deceased from a self-inflicted wound. But what's unusual about that is that the cause of death was determined to be a "self-inflicted" gunshot wound to the chest. But men typically prefer a wound to the head if they're going to end their own lives with a firearm. It's a statistical improbability that a man would do the job with a wound to the chest. Women are known to do that on occasion. But men not so much.

I later discovered that a big life insurance policy had been taken out against the husband's life about a year earlier. Between that policy, the sale of the house and their various savings and investments, the "poor widow" had quite a lot of money to her name even after the (cheap) funeral.

Even more confusing was the wife's sudden wedding with a rich man about six months after her husband's "suicide". She was already well off. But marrying the rich guy quadrupled her resources virtually overnight.

How did she beat the murder charges, you ask? Well, it's pretty easy to beat murder charges when murder charges are never filed against you. The cops just plain weren't interested in kicking over too many stones with this thing. They had a perp, a body and a distraught wife. Case closed.

But if you know anything about domestic violence and voluntary life-endings, odds are you're pretty suspicious about this entire thing. Well, the same can be said for the widow's neighbors. None of this added up for any of them.

I met that couple many times over the years. The deceased husband was a happy-go-lucky but henpecked husband. He was friendly with all his neighbors, his kids loved him and it looked like he had a pretty good life. Yeah, henpecked. But that's a lot of men. He just didn't strike anybody (literally nobody!) as the type of guy who would one day go firing off his gun at random before taking his own life.

The wife, however, often did not get along with her neighbors and didn't have too many admirers among people who knew her. Which includes me. I never liked her and didn't talk to her a whole lot.

There is a lot more I could say. But it would tend to dox me in a pretty undeniable way. Suffice it to say, the above is just the tip of the iceberg.

tl;dr- Lots of questions, lots of red flags, zero investigation, zero murder charges. She got away with it and nobody gives a shit.

You people are so stupid, do you all men really share one brain cell? its a book a FICTION book with finny title, there is a thousand books with similar titles. Really scrapping the barrel just to try and make a point.
