Due to how hard it is dating Asians in my area (most don't date non-Asians), I [47M] decided to try an online dating app. I met a woman [37F] who I started talking to, and I liked her a lot. We have been chatting and video chatting for a month.

She is a Filipina, and having dated Filipinas and visiting the Philippines, I can attest that men there play the insult them so they don't leave you card a lot. So in 20 or so years of dating she is told she is ugly, fat (she has barely a belly), tiny breasts (b cup), looks like a ladyboy (wth?), and they mock her when she smiles (she smiles like the Cheshire cat which is awkward but not a reason to mock her). So she has ZERO self esteem. Her father left her and her mother when she was 7. She has worked hard to go through college and she has a job and lives in a dorm.

She has so little self esteem, that when I asked her to show me her smile she said it was okay to leave her since it was so hideous. Anyways, she literally cries anytime I compliment her on video chat. The first time I told her she was beautiful she cried so hard she couldn't speak for 3 minutes and told me she could see in my eyes that I meant it.

The point is that my friends have ganged up on me and told me that I have a broken girl who worships me like a God and I like her for her incredible devotion and extreme reactions to simple gestures. Now I don't know what I feel? Any advice?
