On the off chance you are looking for an answer to that question: women, much like all beings, desire that which is valuable and sought-after. Doge coin has less value than bit coin because less people want/desire it. Much of how we assign value to an object is based (in part) on how much people want it. So a man with a gf/wife has at least one person who loves/desires/wants him, which is up from zero. Thus increasing his value in womens' eyes.

I don't even know if there is a good sample size to say most women do this.

I can't say that this is common as you may grab a bunch of "anecdotes" and you might get a bunch of "Well I'm a woman and don't do this".

What are we sourcing here. This isn't something like "Most women prefer men taller than them" I have a billion opinion polls showing this to be true, is there a poll out there showing a good number of women doing this?

Because they have self esteem issues. They’re encouraged to break up another girls happiness as taking her partner means they are better than them. This is one of the side reasons I don’t step out of my relationships. Because the other girls are just looking for validation. To feel “good enough”. You see female artists like cardi b, nicki Minaj, etc always bragging about taking some one else’s partner. That’s because their audience are a bunch of insecure little girls who want other girls to be bitter like they are. If they can’t have a happy ending no other woman is entitled to. I also know not every woman is like this. However, this is the only thing I see common in women and not as much as in men. Women get a big thrill making other women unhappy. The way they see it is they neglect the idea that some one else can have a good relationship because they never had one. If they had a bad childhood they can’t look at a good family and believe it’s real. They will say things like “they’re just pretending they’re perfect.” These things start from a young age as mothers manipulate their daughters into thinking being dysfunctional is normal. Sometimes mothers are jealous of their daughters happy relationship. They see their daughters with a good man and they always push the daughter to leave the good man for anything because they never got to have the same. It’s sad when you think about it. I will always say it a million times. The biggest enemy of a woman is another woman.
