I've had an incident a few years ago that's given me dramatic PTSD, and it seems like every negative thought I've made over the years is starting to win in my head. I am going to therapy, but that's not always a perfect fix that magically takes away my negative thoughts. It takes time, and unfortunately I'm hurting a bunch right now. I never realized some of those attention seeking behaviors I had as a kid that I was chastised for was actually a cry for help. Now that I'm in my 30s, I can process this better.

I'm waking up so emotionally distraught, and it's affecting my daily routines. That voice I get in the mornings is affecting my motivation to wake up at a decent hour and be productive. I get lost in my head and start zoning out and wasting my days off. I haven't even Christmas shopped, even tho I've made a point to these last 3 days. I have a small workout routine in the morning, because I'm trying to lose weight but I'm obese so I can't work too hard ATM. But I definitely felt myself give less effort today because I'm battling my head and I'm afraid if I can't silence that negative voice in my head I'll give up like I've always done.

How do you combat that morning depression? I don't exactly have much of a support system. I need something more than just "keep at it", because that's the advice I've gotten for years and I eventually give in and give up
