Ever since I graduated, I've been told by a ton of people in a ton of different scenarios that I am really negative. The problem is, I don't feel negative. I just tell people how it is. It seems like if I don't sugar coat everything or if I don't have a stupid amount of optimism about things that aren't done well, I am "negative".

However, I associate with a lot of the stuff I read here, which I would say is at it's core kind of cynical. I think we can all agree on that. It is no-bullshit, don't believe this fake candy land happy mickey mouse shit, etc. I would describe my personality as very much that. However, I have met other people who seem to be no-bullshit, but I don't think they're negative. Somehow I must not fall in that category.

I want to not give a shit about it, but I have heard it from enough people that I think it's inhibiting me, and I wonder how I would fix it. How do ya'll prevent sounding like a negative nancy?
