Paraphrasing the responses I have heard to this concept. I guess I missed my chance to be an abuser because now it's time for another demographic to enjoy the benefits of terrorizing another group with full political and social support.

Good points, but acknowledgment isn’t just about awareness or accepting the facts, it’s also a matter of definition.

Georgia for example still defines rape as a crime committed against women by men. We can’t socially acknowledge make rise victims if the law won’t acknowledge them as victims. Similarly many state laws are biased by who penetrated and whom is penetrated.

Getting rid of biased laws in favor of gender neutral laws would be a great start.
