In some of the world (UK & parts of Australia), Coercive Control is a criminal offence like murder. So you can go to jail if a woman alleges that you tried to stop her doing something or tried to get her to do something or just upset her. My understanding is that Coercive Control is NOT a criminal offence in the US. Right?

My understanding is that Coercive Control is dealt with in the US Protection Order system. (I think that's what it's called...) Is that right?

If it's like ours there's no proof required and it results in the man having to stay away from the woman & his kids if any. They can also be used to throw a man out of his home & ensure he loses custody. Is that the way they work in the US?

EDIT: When I say coercive control is included in the US Protection Order system, I meant a few (but not most) states. See https://www.theacecc.com/billtracker

Thanks for any help.
