Hi, I had to make a throwaway for this.

I am definitely for equal treatment of women however when I hear things like how feminism needs more men, it is hard not to recall lobbying efforts that are definitely against men's interests, be it reproductive right or homeless shelters. What irks me even more is when issues that we face are masked as benevolent sexism and made a women's issue.

I saw the page titled 'Why feminism is not a solution for men's issues', however I think it is not updated or well categorized to make a clear case.

I am not an MRA per se(or a feminist), since I do not have the time to put effort in compiling and researching these facts since I am a full time student. I am sorry about that.

I was thinking of a well categorized list of such efforts by feminist groups.

Categories which I thought of

  • domestic violence
  • homeless shelters
  • reproductive rights
  • divorce courts
  • demonstrations
  • bigoted statements by respected feminists

The point is that I wanted to bring out the efforts that are less ambiguous in terms of the harm done and I want this list to keep getting updated as a repository that can be updated and researched. Thing is that some of these efforts can be called by feminists as for women's right rather than against men's rights. I want to be able to bring out the efforts that cannot be easily argued on this ground.

EDIT: How about having a system where r/MRA would discuss an effort every week and with enough consensus ask the mods to update the wiki compiled with the top comments which are well researched on that topic.
