Hey all,

I hope this is okay to post here.

In the spirit of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), I frequently found myself donning pink and raising awareness, and donating to the smaller charities that actually largely fund research (Susan G. Komen having lots of scandals regarding their fund allocations). I saw facebook posts all the time about people collecting money for Breast Cancer, and all sorts of events and fundraisers going on.

Now, in November, Prostate Cancer Awareness month (or Mo'vember, as some call it) is in full swing, and no one seems to have noticed.

I think largely its due to the fact that people have yet to really begin associating Mo'vember and terrible facial hair with Prostate Cancer support. I see tons of people on facebook and other websites growing out their facial hair, but none even remotely discussing Prostate Cancer.

I signed up for the Prostate Cancer Foundations (PCF) Movember United Fundraising Group and made a team to help raise both money and awareness for this terrible affliction.

When I told my girlfriend I was participating in Movember, she seemed, like most girls, kind of annoyed that I was going to be growing facial hair. After I explained the whole point of it, however, she's become largely supportive, and so have other girls who I've explained it to.

So, MensRights, I ask you to please, either make teams to support, make donations, or at the least help raise awareness that this is why we do Movember. Not because we like growing 'pedo-staches', but because we men also get sick, and we also need support.

I invite you all to join/donate/link to my team here: http://us.movember.com/mospace/9135929

Or go here and create your own team and start spreading the word: http://us.movember.com/get-involved/

Apologies if I shouldn't be posting this here, I just haven't seen any other good place to put it.
