Personally, I see this lasting about as long as it takes for one of these apparently corruption-proof female officers to get in the way of a cartel drug runner on a routine traffic stop, and end up with her ovaries slung up on a border fence somewhere. From what I've seen, they seem to run things down there and turning down bribes just seems like a good way to get killed.

Are you dyslexic? The article title does not contain the word "only". Also, this article certainly doesn't go out of it's way to support the premise that hiring more female officers will somehow cut down on corruption.

Did you actually read the article? It sounds to me that the article is stating the obvious...that more female anything doesn't automatically imply...anything.

It is a little sensationalist on Time's part, but it's a slow news day and there's probably not enough kittens caught in trees or images of The Blessed Virgin showing up on soda crackers so they went with this.
But it's also a little sensationalist on your part for making a big deal out of it and completely distorting it with your own bias.

The only difference between male cops and female cops is that the males need to be bribed with cash and hookers, the females with cash and shoes.
