Simply judging musical quaility, Blurred Lines is the worst thing to ever hit the charts.
The biggest irony of Blurred Lines is that I've heard that it's a song about date rape, that it's a song about objectifying women, and that it's a song about women empowerment.

tl;dr Blurred lines sucks; feminists hate it because it objectifies women, TRP hates it because it empowers women.

The idea is that it is awkward and uncomfortable to see the women treat the men that way, and it is supposed to make you question having a different reaction to seeing naked women objectified in the Blurred Lines video.
