Honestly a pretty interesting article. I liked how men got upset about not being able to compete with women for the low wages and people did not blame them at the time, now though since it has happened at a larger scale this and many other factors such as globalization leads to wages being pushed downward.

What do you all think of this article??

To me it seems to be taking the Bank of England working model and extrapolating conclusions to then apply to other offices and the rest of society.

For instance, this bit:

So men aren't as conscientious as women? Would that be why the vast majority of discoveries and inventions were by men??

Simply put: If you're looking at a stodgy office with a bunch of menial jobs that are boring, and you acknowledge the men had been doing that job for decades before the women turned up... of COURSE it would appear that the women were more conscientious at the job - the men would've been bored rotten, and the women wouldn't have had years and years of soul destroying work behind them. They had the advantage of novelty.
