From a purely fictional standpoint, the patern I see is a little different, but equally dystopian:

Women are hypergamous, so they are always going to look up for potential mates and people beneath them are sexually and socially invisible. I believe women's sexuality is more fluid than men's, but the vast majority are still going to be looking for male sexual partners. There has been a longstanding observation that women are more willing to share a good man than they are to have a substandard man all to themselves.

So, I see a society where there still an apex, a tiny sliver of men at the top of society in a wide range of high-prestige fields. These men maintain harems of women, who largely make up the top strata of society.

Because the point of the pyramid is primarially male, there would continue to be pressure for women's equality. Government largess is lauded upon women of the harem in subsidies, setasides, and services.

Down the ladder, there are the men who don't rise to the dizzying heights of the billionare playboy philanthropist. These men don't rise to the middle, but end up as virtual slaves: working long hours, paying confiscatory taxes, and doing the hard work to maintain the society. They live a life without honor, respect, and for the most part without women.

There are some women down at the bottom, as well: he women that failed to enter into the harems. Some of them are ground up like the men around them, cremated without ceremony when they are burdened into an early grave.

More, however, create their own harems, rounding up a dozen or twenty men desperate for female affirmation. These harem mistresses live lives of relative prosperity, lording over their inferior men, demanding support and sustinance. They have nothing like the oppulance of the harem women, but they need not provide for themselves.

Meh. Dystopia.

You are making too many and huge assumptions. Feminists don't care about women. They care about upper middle to upper class women.

The government also doesn't have the resources to fund women's lives like that. If you've noticed, women have basically handed this country over to the government for scraps and broken promises. The life of Julia crap will never happen, there simply is no money for it to happen. People are already paying more and more for housing, food and bare necessities than they did 10-20 years ago. At this rate, there simply won't be any room for extra taxes.

Current society will not survive for generations. At best, we will face a huge depression, economic collapse and will start over with a whole different mindset. At worst, the best and brightest will move out to find a life somewhere else, while the majority of women and the men who can't make it somewhere else will be stuck in what is left over.

There's a reason today and even during the great depression the majority of those living in poverty were single mothers and their children. According to wikipedia

More than 75% of all poor households are headed by women (2012).

Note that women who are most likely to be unmarried or widowed are also more likely to be living in poverty.

There will never be a "women on top men on the bottom" society unless men are reduced to levels below women, both through education, indoctrination and government laws. And even then, they will topple the government before being held prisoner in a country they no longer wish to be a part of.
