Shortchanged: Why Women Get Paid Less Than Men (gets close then goes iff on a tangent)

We'll take everything into account, except silly things like hours worked. Which is why I always hate these articles. Always focusing at how much money was brought home at the end of the year, never on things like hourly wages.

I mean just for arguments sake, let's make up two people.

Man: Garbage collector, $10 an hour.

Woman: Some manager at wherever. $20 an hour.

Guy works 60 hours a week. ($10 * 40 + $15 * 20) * 52 = $36,400 a year.

Woman works 35 hours a week. ($20 * 35) * 52 = $36,400 a year.

Are these people "equal"? Did she "break the glass ceiling" or "workplace sexism" or whatever the fuck? Now what if he was putting in the same 60 hours in the same job as her with the same hourly wage? He'd be making $72,800 a year and the women's studies majors would scream bloody murder because she's earning 50 cents for every dollar he earns.
