Needing book suggestions!

I don't have any books, but as a guy that was raised by the 50s generation, I at one point for myself in much the same place as yourself in terms of not knowing how to take care of a house. I was single for a long time and didn't do things properly. Through experience, you will learn more than anything. Things like cooking and cleaning come as part of the habits you start making. I tend to think everyone should know how to do these things, not just women. I'd say things have changed since then. I work from home and often do more around the house than my girl, but if you want something traditional, you should be able to find it.

As for cooking, start on YouTube and find a dish that's easy, and you'd like to make it and start with that. Get that one down pat, write down etc then start on another one. Over time, add more to it and over the next year or so it will all start making more and more sense as to how to get around the kitchen. Don't be daunted, just start small and work on getting it slowly.

As for cleaning, it comes down to self-discipline more than anything. Just stay up on things, use a planer if need be, and keep organized. If there's anything that needs to be done, just hop on it all the time. Just don't quit moving or having dreams. Just living is a full-time gig in of itself, and stay at home mom is just as much if not more work that working full time. If you don't know how to do something, ask Google or ChatGPT. Might help to cut out an hour each day or just do it Saturday morning kind of thing. If you can keep your place clean, having a guy around won't be much different. Hopefully, he knows how to take care of himself some too, lol. Just never quit moving kind of thing, but make sure to have at least some downtime each week.

Interior decorating? YouTube lol

Guys really only care about fit, feminine, and friendly, so if you want a great one who's also attractive, just keep the weight in check and hit the gym. I promise it will work. As for myself, I don't actually care much about makeup but again YouTube. As for style, again YouTube will help you look snazzy.

The biggest thing challenge for everyone, though, is finding the right person and avoiding the wrong ones like the plague. And for that, I do have a book. The Human Magnet Syndrome by Ross Rosenburg. In short, never try to date someone who is narcissistic. The relationship will fail, and they will make your life a living hell in the process. Wish I had known more about that at your age. My life would have played out much differently.

I'm currently reading Home Comforts- The Art & Science of Keeping House by Cheryl Mendelson which I'm enjoying so far. As someone who is quite a naturally organized person I also love learning about different cleaning/decluttering/organizing systems. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo has impacted how I bring things into my space and life. The Organised Mum Method (TOMM) by Gemma Bray and books (and youtube channel) of Dana K. White have also helped me manage my home.

I enjoy cooking and it really makes me happy to add to a growing collection of recipes that I know I love and know how to cook well. I don't have kids yet but I envision myself cooking certain meals that I know I have perfected for them when I have them. One of my favorite recipe blogs is RecipeTinEats. Her recipes are delicious and easy to follow and she has soooo many to choose from. She recently released her first cookbook which has been a massive hit.

For beauty, I love watching Lisa Eldridge on YouTube. She is an icon of a makeup artist and has a lovely feminine demeanor. Her final looks, whether they are on herself or on a model, are always beautiful. No heavy, cakey makeup even if it is a strong editorial look. She also wrote a book called Face Paint, The Story of Makeup but it isn't instructional.
