Her story about men being told that feminism is for men too and that feminists would help address their issues and then being completely shut down and told to solve their problems on their own because feminism was about women, only to then be told they're doing it wrong and that it has to done through a feminist lens and then trying again and being completely shutdown etc etc etc. sounds eerily familiar. I think I personally went around that merry-go-round about 5 or 6 times over a few years before I finally decided that enough was enough and broke from feminism, stopped using the label and all that.

And it was hard. That stuff really becomes part of your identity, especially if you generally consider yourself "a good man" in the way feminists are always telling you that you should be. I don't know how much Karen's line about most MRAs never becoming MRAs unless they were feminists first holds true broadly, but it was certainly true for me.
