I'm not even sure what to make of this moronic article, but there were parts of it that were baffling even by feminist standards.

We are all too familiar with the social pressures on girls and women to be slim (and beautiful), and how this causes crippling anxiety leading to terrible eating disorders and self-harm. Surely, men can choose a healthy menu that avoids obesity, leading to poor health, without a diet of weight obsession leading to sickness?

I don't think they seem to realise that obesity and eating disorders etc. can be a problem for both genders? Has anyone else seen how utterly fucking selective this article is? This stupid journalist is completely ignoring the issues effecting either gender, on the one hand, he completely disregards the fat positivity movement and the way obesity is glorified by a lot of feminists and how men are being told they need to shut up and find women attractive no matter what they look like and on then we have them turning around and saying men need to stay muscular and slim. He doesn't say it outright, but it's obvious the next line if this continues to be an issue is these feminists will immediately run around saying if men don't slim down they're not going to be able to attract women.

The hypocrisy is just astounding, you see, there are parts of the MRA rhetoric that I do find a bit far fetched despite being a big supporter, even I think some ridiculous shit is said. One of these was the idea that I naively thought even feminists wouldn't be stupid enough to start 'fat shaming' men, boy was I fucking wrong. It seems as long as it isn't for women they are more than happy to apply the same standards they hate so much to the other gender.

It was really the comments from friends that forced me finally into to action. One of my more kindly mates remarked that I was a little portly. Others were frankly blunter. Bluster and jokes are pretty typical ways that men get serious points over, but behind it I could detect some genuine concern for my welfare.

Milo was right, fat shaming works. I need to up my exercise a bit but unlike feminists I won't try and turn myself into a victim in order to try and get out of the difficult task of finding ways to burn calories. Which in reality this is all the fat positivity movement is, it's a collective excuse by fat feminists to not do exercise.

Ugh, I wish I hadn't found this article.

TLDR: Feminists rant about how awful it is to fat shame women and glorify obesity, proceed to do an entire article about how bad of an idea it is to be fat and obese and the health risks associated with it for men.
