I work at a company of around 300 employees, We have a whatsapp group where we discuss and announce birthdays and activities, almost every employee is in the group including The director and two others supervisors of the company.

Yesterday the director sent a picture of an incoming activity that we have to pay to attend, one of my coworker in my department pointed out that the price was a little hight and maybe if the price was lower more employees would join said activity.

Well our director responded very unprofessional to his comment and kind of took it like a personal attack ( the activity is not obligatory just don't attend it) my coworker sent a message saying that he knew it wasn't obligatory that it was just his opinion to which the director responded (and I'm repeating to you, just don't attend it, it isn't obligatory)

After that I sent a text saying "Your texts are rude and lack humbleness and respect for one of your employees"

After my text the director didn't send another message and the group remained quiet for the rest of the day until today where the topic was changed "
