Goodell can go fuck himself. I fully expect and a support a very long "lockout", the next time the CBA is up. How fucking tarded do you have to be to suspend someone with the factors that were given in the situation. Goodell comes off as a huge bitch made rat in all of this.

Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I don't mind the suspension. Elliot could very well be the next face of the NFL. You can't have your face being charged continuously for domestic violence charges. NFL needs to go ahead and fix and possible issue with that now no matter how small the chance.

I do mind the length. There is no consistency with these punishments. NFL needs to fix that.

I still believe in innocent until proven - SCIENTIFICALLY, CONCLUSIVELY PROVEN - guilty. That, and accusations of crimes should never be public, not even if guilty. It serves no purpose. People should be entitled to ownership of their names, faces, bodies, and anything else personal, so anyone who wants to use them must have permission to do so, and that permission can be revoked at any time (because they still own themselves).

That would neatly do-away with democratic political government's need to have an enemy to arouse public support for murdering and thieving. It's probably not practical as I stated it above, but it's a half-baked idea that probably ought to be baked a bit more.

I might be okay with it, if I thought a woman who was accused of something 'bad' would be punished by society. But they wouldn't be, so it's not okay to do it to men.

The NFL can go fuck itself, and honestly, so can you. I'm sick of you libertarian freakshows who think money is a valid reason to ignore constitutional rights.

Ok. What sports star woman was accused of DV and didn't get suspended? If there was none you are assuming what a sports court would do based off of criminal court. If there is one, then you have a point in your first paragraph.

What about this is unconstitutional? He did something his boss didn't like and he got and got punished.

Well I meant on this sub.

And what I am endorsing is that the NFL can do whatever they want to their employees when they see fit. They've seen what has happened to Ray Rice. They've seen what happened to the giants kicker. You think they are going to take this lightly again for a rookie who nearly won MVP and could become the face of the NFL moving forward? I don't think so.

This was a message to Zeke to hang around people that won't put him and the league in a bad situation and is also a message to the rest of the league that if they do this do Zeke, imagine what they will do to a role player.

Put yourself in any employers shoes. Guy just came out of college and he is one of your best employees. But then he gets into trouble with a DV accusation. As an employer, it is only logical to make a point to everyone that you will not take this likely because it affects the organization as a whole.

Is it fair? Probably not, but this is the real world. Shit happens. Grow up. When I was younger my dad got fired because of a higher ups mistake. Did he cry about how it wasn't fair? No. He took it like a normal person, went out and got a better job making $20,000 more than he did at the other job. Sometime good stuff happens from bad things and if NFL players take notice and stop hanging around women who can hurt their career it will be a win-win-win for the NFL, fans and players
