Currently we live together and I’m trying to get caught up from where I lost a job unexpectedly for a few months. He offers and just pays the rent and pays half our car insurance. We’ve had a few big bills to pay that will be done soon. However, after that the only thing he will be paying is my part rent and utilities (1000) and half the insurance (300) I work 32 hours a week because we do not want me to have a night time job and never be around each other. If I worked a second job for 3/4 nights a week I would easily make more than enough enough to be on my own and then some. In a previous 7 year relationship I did everything and paid for everything except for 500 for a pro bodybuilder. However, my current boyfriend says that I basically am INCAPABLE of doing it myself. I’ve had a job since I was 13 and I have a BS degree with two minors and I’m a professional bodybuilder. I told him I’ve never once told him there was something he couldn’t do. He could do anything he puts his mind to but doesn’t understand why I’m upset that I’m all of a sudden incapable of taking care of myself now that we’re together? What is wrong with him and why is he like that he didn’t even have a job til he was 19 and he’s a really hard worker but he’s just lucked out because his dad owns a multi million dollar company and he has mainly only ever worked for him. He’s only done odd jobs other than that and never lasted more than 8 months and when I say odd jobs 1 job for like 8 months and two for barely a month. Ever. He’s 27. Like I said though, he’s a very hard worker and his mind is brilliant. Why does he feel the need to try to make me feel like I can’t do something. I’ve always believed in him.
