Men seem to care more about looks than women and I don’t think it will ever change. It’s just the way it is, name 5 post agricultural cultures that sexually objectify men more than women in the history of the world. They don’t exsist because that’s not the way the human animal works it’s just not. I absolutely think there are men who go out of their way to dehumanize women and that they are bad people. You can cultivate what you find attractive in others a little bit but I really think men are very limited in that department compared to women. Almost every hetero couple I have ever seen in my life the woman was more conventionally attractive than the man. This is just as true in the super woke improv circles I run in as it is everywhere else I’ve seen hetero couples, and that’s why I don’t think it’s a choice. Woke dudes will talk about body positivity and how they don’t judge women on their bodies and then exclusively hit on conventionally attractive women. I think the problem with this situation isn’t that men all wanna date the hottest women they can it’s that they’re lying about it to seem like better people. BEING ATTRACTED TO HOT PEOPLE DOESNT MAKE YOU A BAD PERSON. Ya it sucks for the people who aren’t conventionally attractive but what are you gonna do? Now of course there are exceptions to this, I have definitely seen couples where the man was more conventionally attractive than the woman and there are men who don’t care about looks that much and women who do. But they are rare and pointing to the fact that they exsist is not a counter point to my thesis of the average man cares about looks more than the average woman as evidenced by all of human history.
