So men and boys lose the boy scouts and women and girls get to keep girl guides? This is fucking disgusting! I realize the girl guides sucks and that its nothing but a cookie selling scheme but they should also have to drop girls from their name and be open to accepting boys into their organization. Any boys want to join the girl guides and sell some cookies? How the hell are you going to sell that idea to boys?! Once again men are forced to give up something that is so fundamentally important to us to appease for feminists. Why couldn't they have just made girl guides better?

This has happened in Australia for over a decade already, the Scouts is mixed gender but there's Girl Guides which are girls only.

I was in the Scouts a decade ago for quite a few years and it got really shitty towards the end when everyone started growing up and becoming boyfriend/girlfriend with each other, and they brought their relationship drama with them.

I would have preferred if it was gender segregated, so we can focus on activities rather than peoples gossip and other bullshit.

Let me make this clear, from a parent's point of view this is a good thing. Scouts BSA and Girl Scouts are two different entities with very different ethos. The beautiful thing about the new BSA is that your boy's little/big sister can join and you only have one pick up point at the end of the day as well as an outlet for girls who don't want to sell fucking cookies. The pros outweigh the cons on this one. Maybe a little less molestation? These are life skills and outings that are unisex in regards to fun and experience and can be accommodating for both(48) sexes.

The fact that the Girl Scouts hate this should be a dead giveaway what side to be on.

This is because the boy scouts were sued to allow girls in.

Then the head of the girl scouts said that they will not allow any boys to join.

Because of this the girl scouts are involved in a multibillion dollar lawsuit they have no chance of winning.

They have also forced the boy scouts to accept female troop leaders.

I am just waiting until the false accusations of sexual assault come out from both the girl scouts and female troop leaders.

The boy scouts have lost 425,000 boy scouts a week since this started.

I wonder how much money and boy scouts they are going to lose before they realize this was not a good idea.

As a Boy Scout myself I don’t really see a problem with this. They aren’t taking over our troops, merely being allowed to participate in one of the best programs for youth in the world. People treat this like its some femenist takeover, when really it’s just the opening of an opportunity for girls.
